SaNCA 2024 Community Engagement and Survey

The SANCA Shoreline
Did you know that a neighbourhood association exists here in Shoreacres to
benefit the residents of our wonderful community!?!
Over ten years ago a group of Shoreacres residents agreed that more could be
done within and for our community through a united front. From that inspiration the
Shoreacres Neighbourhood Community Association – also known as SaNCA – was
born.
Since then some of you and your neighbours have volunteered time towards
numerous initiatives supported by SaNCA like:

  • Installing neighbourhood bulletin boards & signage (2016)
  • Partnering with Nature Trust of BC to maintain the beach park property (2012)
  • Removing the pump house at the beach (2019)
  • Hosting several Christmas Train community gatherings (several years)
  • Installing the Little Free Library and bench (2016)
  • Facilitating community water quality testing and remediation instructions (2019/2020)
  • Promoting and advertising a community garage sale event (several years)
  • Creating a Shoreacres website (2016) and upgrading it (2023)

SaNCA is a registered BC society. As such SaNCA is made up of members and
is governed by an elected board of directors, all of whom are residents of our
neighbourhood. By having society status, SANCA is able to apply for various grants
that have been applied to projects to improve our community.
Shoreacres and the people who call it home are growing and changing and so
are the wants and needs of our community. If you are not already a SANCA member,
please sign up, get involved, and participate in shaping the future of Shoreacres.
SaNCA is comprised of and energized by residents like you!

The SaNCA Board meets at the Community Hall on the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm (except in
July & August), and all community members are welcome to come and participate. If
you haven’t already, sign up here to be on our neighbourhood email list and help
    strengthen our community.
